- The HiMSEN H35/40G gas engine was invented in 2010 and its first export occurred in June 2012. The broader HiMSEN engine family, developed by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), was successfully launched into the market in 2001.
- The H35/40 sits within the medium-speed engine range of HiMSEN. It is a larger bore gas engine compared to the H21/32 (210mm bore) and H25/33 (250mm bore) diesel engines, and smaller than the H46/60V (460mm bore) engine.
- The H35/40G is designed for power generation applications using gas fuel, emphasizing high efficiency and low emissions. It achieves low NOx emissions through optimized turbocharging with an enhanced Miller Cycle and combustion control.
