Did you know
- The GEA Westfalia OSE series of self-cleaning disc-type separators, to which the OSE-10-0136067_10 belongs, is designed for continuous purification and clarification of fuel oils and lubricating oils. These separators are utilized in demanding environments such as ships, offshore installations, power plants, and industrial facilities. The OSE-10-0136067_10 model itself has been observed in vintages as early as 2013 and 2014.
- The OSE-10-0136067_10 sits within the GEA Westfalia OSE series, which includes models such as OSE 5, OSE 10, OSE 20, OSE 30, OSE 40, OSE 80, and OSE 120. The '10' in its designation likely indicates its position in terms of capacity, being larger than the OSE 5 but smaller than the OSE 20.
- The OSE-10-0136067_10 is chosen for its high-performance self-cleaning disc-type bowl, which efficiently separates water, solids, and contaminants from oil, ensuring high-quality output. It features a softstream inlet system for gentle product treatment, leading to optimal separating efficiency and higher specific capacities, and a patented hydrostop system for controlled bowl ejections at full operating speed.

Separator motor off alarm activated after T39 expires
Press the program start button before T39 expires. Alternatively, check the T39 setting or deselect the function in an emergency.
WMS sensor fault during WMS check or Timer 45
Check the WMS sensor for dirt or malfunction. Verify the function of water discharge valve V6 or V5. Ensure sufficient water quantity during T45 and check the T45 setting. If operating with HFO, check T02. In an emergency, deselect the function.
Excessive running time of sludge pump
Check the TR2 time recording setting. Inspect the bowl function and hydraulics. Dewater the product upstream of the separator. Verify the setting of the pure oil discharge pressure and check the pump function. In an emergency, deselect the function.
WMS activated too often
Check if the TR1 time recording setting is too short. Dewater the product upstream of the separator if water content is too high. Inspect valve V2 for tightness. In an emergency, deselect the function.
Maintenance required for WMS sensor
Perform the WMS sensor check as described in the operating instructions. This alarm indicates that the monitoring time of the WMS sensor has reached its limit without a water indication.
Motor protection alarm activated
Check the functionality of the motor protection switch. Release the brake. Inspect the thermistor relay and its cabling. Verify the operating water valve V2. Check the drive, the number of clutch shoes, and the feed capacity. Improve motor ventilation if inadequate.
TAL product feed temperature too low
Check the settling tank temperature (for HFO only) and the feed capacity. Verify the TAL setting. Check the temperature of the heating medium and the temperature regulator. Inspect the electrical switching stages of the pre-heater. Check if the pre-heater is dirty and examine the PT100 sensor.
TAH product feed temperature too high
Check the regulating valve and the feed capacity. Verify the TAH setting. Inspect the electrical switching stages of the pre-heater. Check the temperature regulator and the PT100 sensor.
Ejection monitoring current is less than offset
Check the function of the bowl hydraulics with valve V3. Inspect the connector on valve V3. Verify the offset setting for discharge current. Check the water quantity at V3. Ensure the monitoring time for timer 28 is not too short. Check the current converter electrically. Inspect the pre-strainer at V3 for dirt and check the clutch shoes for wear or oiliness.
LAHH sludge tank full
Check if the sludge pump is functioning. Inspect the bowl hydraulics. Check the valves in the clean oil line and the setting of V7. Verify that the closing water pulse T06 is not too long. Inspect the polyamide sealing ring and other sealing rings in the bowl for defects. Check if the level switch LSHH is dirty or defective.
