Did you know
- Hatecke GmbH is a German manufacturer of lifeboats, rescue boats, and davit systems, with a history of innovative developments in maritime safety equipment. The company has been under the ownership and management of the Hatecke family for five generations.
- The Open OB 52 is an open lifeboat model, which represents an earlier design in lifeboat technology compared to Hatecke's more modern offerings like fully enclosed or free-fall lifeboats. Hatecke's product range has evolved to include advanced free-fall lifeboats for cargo and offshore vessels, semi-enclosed lifeboats for larger capacities, and specialized tender boats for cruise ships.
- Open lifeboats like the OB 52 are generally simpler in design and operation, making them a robust and straightforward option for basic lifesaving requirements. While specific advantages of the OB 52 are not detailed, open lifeboats are typically chosen for their reliability and ease of maintenance in less complex maritime operations.
