- The Hamworthy SuperTrident series of sewage treatment plants has been a standard in marine wastewater treatment since 1963, with over 10,000 units installed globally. The STA-C and ST-C ranges were among the first to be certified to the IMO MEPC.159(55) standard, which became effective for new installations on or after January 1, 2010. In February 2024, Wärtsilä relaunched the STC0-23, the smallest Super Trident series design, with several upgrades.
