- The Furuno FEA-2107/2807 ECDIS was available by October 2004, designed to comply with IMO, IHO, and IEC standards.
- The FEA-2107/2807 series represents an earlier generation of Furuno's ECDIS offerings, preceding the FMD-3000 series (e.g., FMD-3200/3300) which introduced a new user interface and updated hardware.
- This model is chosen for its compliance with international maritime regulations and its ability to integrate with other navigation systems like radar/ARPA and autopilots, enabling features such as Track Control System (TCS) for automatic steering.
