- The Furuno FCV-1500 is a high-performance color video sounder designed for professional fishing vessels. It was available as a standalone dual-frequency sounder (FCV-1500) or as a monitor for external transceivers (FCV-1500M).
- The FCV-1500, with its 15-inch CRT display, offered a larger screen compared to models like the FCV-1200L and FCV-295, which typically featured 10.4-inch LCDs. While the FCV-1200L and FCV-295 utilized LCD technology, the FCV-1500 was part of an earlier generation using a CRT display.
- The FCV-1500 was chosen for its high-performance capabilities and its large 15-inch color CRT display, which provided clear echoes of fish schools and the seabed. It offered versatile display modes, including single and dual frequencies, various zoom functions, and an A-scope, allowing for detailed underwater analysis.
