- International (AkzoNobel) Intertuf 262 is an epoxy anticorrosive primer. Technical data sheets for Intertuf 262 have been issued by AkzoNobel as early as November 2017, with subsequent revisions in May 2021, October 2022, January 2021, and April 2026.
- Intertuf 262 is positioned as a versatile surface tolerant epoxy primer within International (AkzoNobel)'s range, suitable for use from keel to rail. It is part of a broader family of epoxy anticorrosive coatings, and can be overcoated by various products such as Interbond 201, Interbond 501, Intergard 263, Intergard 282, Intergard 740, and even another coat of Intertuf 262.
- Intertuf 262 is chosen for its low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content, its two-component corrosion inhibitive surface tolerant epoxy formulation, and its high build properties. It offers good resistance to water and some chemicals, making it suitable for most vessel areas, and can be used with an alternate converter for low temperature or fast recoat applications.
