Description
EvoStrip self-adjusting insulation stripper, 0.03-10mm2, adjustable length stop
Did you know
- The Knipex 12 40 200, also known as the EvoStrip, was introduced in July 2025 as an improved self-adjusting insulation stripper. Knipex itself is a fourth-generation family company that began in 1882 with a forge shop in Cronenberg, Germany.
- The 12 40 200 EvoStrip is a self-adjusting insulation stripper that offers a wide capacity range and fine adjustment for cutting depth, distinguishing it from models like the MultiStrip 10 (12 42 195) which lacks this fine adjustment and is better suited for consistent conditions. It is designed for a broad range of applications, including single, multiple, and fine-stranded conductors, as well as thin ribbon cables.
- This model is chosen for its self-adjusting mechanism, which automatically adapts to various cable cross-sections, preventing damage to the conductor. Its finely adjustable cutting depth allows for precise stripping, even with demanding insulation materials or varying temperature conditions.
| Model | Stripping Capacity (AWG) | Stripping Capacity (mm²) | Length (mm) | Weight (g) | Cutting Depth Adjustment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 40 200 (EvoStrip) | 32-8 | 0.03-10.0 | 200 | 202 | Adjustable |
| 12 42 195 (MultiStrip 10) | 32-8 | 0.03-10.0 | 195 | 136 | Fixed |
