The DSE9481 MKII is part of the DSE9400 series of intelligent battery chargers. It was updated to the MKII version, along with the DSE9470 and DSE9480, around or before March 2019, with the addition of Lithium Phosphate battery type support.
The DSE9481 MKII is a 12 volt, 5 amp intelligent switch-mode battery charger within Deep Sea Electronics' DSE9400 series, offering a lower current output compared to the DSE9480 MKII (12 volt, 10 amp) and a different voltage/current combination than the DSE9470 MKII (24 volt, 10 amp) and DSE9472 MKII (24 volt, 5 amp).
This model is chosen for its intelligent switch-mode charging capabilities, offering programmable charging curves to maximize battery life and supporting various battery types, including Li-ion. It can also function as a power supply and is designed to remain connected during engine cranking and running.
