Description

Aker Pusnes anchor windlass in the P-15CU + 320HW build — a P-15CU cable-lifter unit sitting on the same bedplate as a 320HW winch, supplied as a handed pair, W1 and W2. The builds are written (W1) 320HW 53.M15 + P-15CU 15.47 and (W2) P-15CU 47.15 + 320HW 15M.53; the figures after each type say how the cable lifter, drums and warping head are arranged across the machine, which is why the port and starboard sets read back to front. On a set this size the cable lifter takes 117 mm Grade 3 stud-link chain and heaves about 65 t at 9 m/min, with roughly 104 t on maximum pull; the band brake holds in the order of 425 t, the usual 45% of chain break load.
