Description
Anchor windlasses — including combined windlass / mooring winch machines — capstans and chain stoppers: the deck machinery that heaves and holds the anchor. A hydraulic windlass is fed by a hydraulic power unit (^JH) through a control block to a low-speed, high-torque radial piston motor such as a Kawasaki Staffa (^JBS); windlass makes include Aker Pusnes (^JBP).
