Description
Aker Pusnes deck hydraulic power unit in the 3 x 2000 arrangement — three electric-motor-driven pump units a station, one station forward and one aft, each set about 4.2 t and running off a 440 V 60 Hz board. On a ship with a pair of P-15CU + 320HW windlasses (^JBPW) and 320HW mooring winches (^JMPM) this is what the deck main is sized from: the cable lifters alone draw about 600 l/min at rated pull and each winch about 260 l/min. The set carries the pumps and their motors, the oil tank, pressure and return filters, oil cooler, main relief valve and its own starter panel; the deck piping, isolation valves and counter-flanges out to the machines belong with it.
