Description
WEG marine electric motors — India. Hosur plant, IE3/IE4.
Did you know
- WEG inaugurated its electric motor plant in India in February 2011, initially producing medium and high voltage synchronous and asynchronous motors and generators. In 2019, WEG announced plans to expand its Indian operations to include the production of low voltage electric motors, with the new unit expected to begin operating in 2021.
- WEG offers a comprehensive range of AC induction motors, including the W21 and W22 series, which are prominent within their low voltage offerings. The W21 series includes both aluminum and cast iron frame options, while the W22 series is known for its cast iron construction and NEMA Premium Efficiency.
- WEG's AC Induction Motors from its India plant are designed for high efficiency, robust construction, and a long service life, making them suitable for heavy-duty continuous industrial operations. They are built to meet IE3 premium energy-efficient standards and feature IP55 dust-proof and water-proof protection, ensuring stable performance in challenging industrial environments.
