- The Leroy-Somer R230 Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) is a transistor-controlled unit that was fitted as standard on Leroy-Somer's 1000, 2000, and 3000 Series alternators. It has since been replaced by the R250 model, which was introduced in July 2007.
