Description

Mooring winches — the drum machinery that heaves and holds a ship's mooring lines — and the gear around them: fairleads, on-vessel mooring systems, bow loading and emergency towing arrangements. A hydraulic mooring winch shares its drive motor (for example a Kawasaki Staffa, ^JBS), most of its spare list and its hydraulic power unit (^JH) with the anchor windlass (^JB).
